Alliance Good Governance Foundation

Alliance Pakistan is an Islamabad-based think tank working to achieve good governance. Pakistan has governance challenges. The governance challenges concerning social, economic, and political sectors are daunting and impede the progress and functioning of society. Alliance Good Governance Foundation is striving to find innovative and effective solutions by suggesting productive policies in various sectors and improving governance in Pakistan.

To identify and address governance challenges in Pakistan through research-driven policy recommendations, advocacy, and civic engagement and to promote good governance practices, strengthen governing networks, and empower citizens for a more equitable and prosperous Pakistan.

Our Objectives

Primary Objectives

  1. Promote Good Governance:
    Advocate for transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government institutions and policies.
  2. Policy Reforms:
    Develop and propose innovative, evidence-based solutions to address social, economic, and political challenges in Pakistan.
  3. Capacity Building:
    Enhance the capacity of government officials, policymakers, and civil society organizations to implement effective governance practices.
  4. Public Awareness:
    Educate and engage citizens on governance issues, promoting civic participation and demand for accountability.

Specific Objectives

Healthcare

    In the lighting of growing housing needs, supporting policies to encourage all housing schemes but especially low cost, quality housing along and within posh housing schemes.

    Promoting policies to redesign and renovate the debilitating infrastructure, pathways, and housing in old cities and towns.

Transport

  1. Better Connectivity:
    Supporting and initiating policies for mega projects related to roads, railways, and airways.
  2. Public Transport:
    Promoting policies for public transportation in all forms, especially in big cities.
  3. Private-Transportation:
    Cars and automobiles with all advancement in technology are the need and required for efficiency and comfort. We support policies to encourage auto industry.

Economic Growth

  2. Invest in Pakistan:
    Initiative to attract foreign investment.

    Proposes export of hi-tech services.

    Advocating privatization of public sector businesses that is no more considered as government job.

    Producing research papers on governance issues and encouraging other organizations to do so.

    Advocating for policy reforms directly and encouraging other organizations to do so.

    Organizing expert discussions on governance issues in crucial fields.

Communication and Outreach

  1. Social Media:
    Leveraging social media for awareness. We have social media platforms for each campaign with regular posts, prepare and disseminate short videos, in our studio and on site on policy matters for awareness.
  2. Media Outreach:
    Building relationships with media outlets for publishing and telecasting campaign material and create special content. We do lobbying for news items, spots on the talk shows, and plan to launch our own talk shows.
  3. Organize Public Events:
    Organizing meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops for creating consensus on issues and promoting campaigns.
  4. Leadership Meets:
    Organizing occasional and annual leadership summits in various fields to lead relevant communities in respective fields.
